Wetherby Fire Station will hold a Charity Car Wash on Saturday the 20th March at Wetherby Fire Station.

The Firefighters Charity aims to help serving and retired Fire Service personnel and their dependants during times of need. This award winning charity assists approximately ten thousand beneficiaries every single year, by providing therapy, rehabilitation and recuperation facilities, as well as other vital support services. These services cost the FireFighters Charity upwards of £7 million pounds per year, and the charity relies almost entirely on the generous support of Fire service personnel and the general public.
A significant proportion of the charity’s funding comes form the FireFighters charity gift aid scheme, whereby individuals kindly donate to the charity on a monthly basis. The FireFighters charity provides a range of services from their three UK centres detailed below
Jubilee House
Jubilee House is a purpose-built Therapy Centre developed exclusively for the benefit of Fire Service personnel, both past and present. Any past or present member of the Fire Service, including Fire & Rescue staff, widows and adult dependants are eligible to apply for a course of therapy. Jubilee House is situated in the 10-acre Eamont Park off Lowther Glen in the village of Eamont Bridge, located on the A6 Penrith to Shap road, south of Penrith.
Marine Court Littlehampton West Sussex
Provides recuperation, support services and sheltered accommodation.
Harcombe House Chudleigh, Devon
Provides recuperation, rehabilitation and therapy services convalescent care for past or present member of the Fire Service, including Fire & Rescue staff, widows and adult dependants.
